"It Is Better To Give Than To Receive"

IT IS BETTER TO GIVE THAN TO RECEIVE.

In times of financial hardship, this may seem like an impossible task. You want so much to give, but then you realize just how little would be left over to meet your own needs and that may deter you from giving at all.

But, beloved, please allow me to open your eyes. You have so much more to give than just your money. I have bestowed you with gifts that I want you to share and I've made sure that all they require is your time. To each of my children I have given a variety of gifts ranging from technical skills like teaching and healing to more creative pastimes like dancing and writing. Each of these gifts can be used for my honor and glory and can be shared with someone else that they might see me through your kindness and passion.

But what happens when you share your gift and it isn't well-received? Please do not allow this to discourage you or prompt you to hide your lamp under a bushel. Trust me when I say that those who are meant to receive it will be blessed beyond measure, but you have to continue to give of yourself unapologetically before you begin to see the fruits of your labor.

Listen to my spirit as I inspire you today with new ways to use your gifts to bless those around you; I know with certainty that you will be surprised and delighted by the outcome.

In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'"
Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms.
