Holy God,
I clip my dog's nails,
For the sake of his own health.
And not only for him,
But also that he might not hurt others
Or myself.
Lord, you desire that I not hurt others
Through my sin
And yet, I still do, every day.
As I clip these nails, remind me, dear Lord,
Of your intention for me,
That I might be made new
By the grace of Jesus Christ
Extended to me as a free gift.
Amen.
