Heavenly Father,
You know more than anyone
The difficulties of this life,
the stresses of this day,
the needs of this moment.
You know my sitting down
and my rising up.
God, thank you for this time you have given me
To walk my beloved dog,
To empty my mind,
And to attend to the needs of this your creature.
Lord, just as he needs time outside
To enjoy your creation,
And to be active in your world,
Remind me, dear Lord, of my own need
For rest and relaxation,
For my mind to be still and know that you are God.
