Holy Spirit,
You moved over the face of the waters
At the beginning of creation.
Heavenly Father,
You split the waves of the Red Sea
For your chosen people to journey through.
Lord Jesus Christ,
You yourself were baptized
In the Jordan River.
As I give my beloved dog a bath,
May this be a reminder
Of my own baptism.
My own bath of salvation.
Through the water of baptism
You, God, have made me your own
Unto the ages of ages.
