"A Liturgy For Brushing Your Dog"

Dear Lord,

I am brushing my dog's fur.

He needs me to do that for him,

So that his fur might not end up elsewhere

Around the house.

Holy God,

If you could de-shed me,

What would you de-shed me of?

My weakness?

My faults?

My sin?

Praise be to you, O Christ,

That you, the New Adam,

Have already done this

For my salvation.

Amen.
